Architect and founding member of the I+A

William Bondin

William Bondin is a Maltese architect and founding member of I+A, with a strong focus on architectural performance and material behaviour. After completing his studies in architecture and civil engineering at the University of Malta, William pursued his passion for innovation at The Bartlett (UCL), where he developed “Morphs”—a reconfigurable, interactive architectural system that reflects his unique approach to spatial design and technology.

Today, William leads a dynamic architectural practice in Malta that bridges design and fabrication, with an emphasis on performance-driven solutions. Alongside his professional work, he is actively involved in academia, teaching physical computing at UCL and supervising master’s students at the University of Malta. His cross-disciplinary expertise blends design, engineering, and digital fabrication, contributing to the evolution of architectural thinking in Malta and beyond.
