Jacques Borg Barthet is Director of Practice at AP Valletta, where he has led major architectural and urban design projects since 2010. With a background in architecture and a Master’s in Urban Design, he also completed PhD research focused on sustainable urban governance.

His portfolio includes large-scale developments such as Valletta’s City Gate project, Tigné Point, and Manoel Island, with a strong focus on heritage integration and urban regeneration. He also contributes to academic and professional discourse as a senior lecturer at the University of Malta and as chair of the Kamra tal-Periti’s Permanent Planning Committee.

Jacques represents AP Valletta in international forums on sustainability and urban development. His approach emphasizes thoughtful, community-centered planning that balances innovation with environmental and cultural responsibility.
